Our venture went very well I think. We went and got some bits n bobs from WHSmiths first. The scanner at the register we were at broke so we were standing around for quite a bit. Dad kept adding stuff like oreos and wine gums he saw at the counter. Theres no doubt he has his appetite back! He doesnt stop eating now lol. Between shops we took several breaks on the benches in Milgate, he got tired quickly. We then went in BHS Coffee Lounge (our fave 'greasy spoon' to use one of Marks phrases) for a drink with our tabs n some grub. We had chicken and bacon paninis. They were good, big though! One of em cut in half woulda done both of us, must remember that next time. He talked his socks off the whole time...it was so great :-) He was telling me all about the sign he read on Ring & Ride on the day trips they had planned this June, he really wants to go on them. When we were done there we looked about inside BHS and Dad found two new shirts and new soft shoes for himself as the washing machine ate the last lol. He needed a bit of persuasion but he bought em. They were needed as he has lost 2st since Jan. Very happy with his purchases. Our last stop was HMV where we managed to find season two of Mad Men. It was in blu-ray though so we had to ask at the counter for it on DVD. We also got Billy Connolly Dads favourite comedian and a birthday pressie for mum. We were all done by 2pm and thankfully Ring & Ride came a bit early and took us home. Dad said he really enjoyed himself today which is great. Even talks about going out again next Sunday if hes feeling ok. He tried his new shoes on right away when we got home, fit great. Then we watched some Billy and Dad went up for a nap. Came back down at tea and helped me package some DVDs he wanted to sell on music magpie. Got a funny photo to attach to this entry of Mum giving him a leg massage. Stay tuned!
